More Than Just Photos
Whether you're visiting the Outer Banks for vacation or you're lucky enough to call it home, I want your pictures to feel like you. Not overly posed or perfect, just genuine moments with the people you love.
I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so our session doesn't feel rushed. We can take our time, work with the light, take a break if someone needs one, and let the kids be themselves. I'll give you direction when you need it, but I'm also watching for the little moments that happen in between.
I photograph families, couples, maternity, seniors, children, and individuals throughout the Outer Banks. Whether you're here for a week at the beach or documenting a special season of life at home, I want you to walk away with photographs that bring you right back to that moment.
A Little About How I Work
I photograph a lot of families, and every family is a little different. Some people love being directed and knowing exactly what to do, while others would rather just walk around and interact with each other. I usually find a little bit of both works best.
I’ll give you suggestions and help with posing when you need it, but I'm also looking for the things that happen naturally. Kids playing in the sand, someone making everyone laugh, a quiet moment between two people, or the pictures you didn't even realize I was taking.
I also don't expect every session to go perfectly. Kids get tired, babies need breaks, and sometimes the weather has other plans. We figure it out as we go.

Finding the right photographer isn't just about finding someone with an opening on your vacation dates. You want someone whose photographs you love, whose personality feels like a good fit, and whose approach makes sense for your family.

Landscape & Nature Photography
I’ve lived on the Outer Banks my entire life, so the beach has always been a big part of my photography. I photograph plenty of beach scenes, sunsets, and sunrises when I’m working with people. When I’m out photographing for myself, though, I tend to look for something different.
I enjoy photographing the other things that make the Outer Banks interesting to me like bugs, wildlife, changing weather, landscapes, and the small details that might otherwise go un-noticed.
Living here my whole life has given me a pretty good appreciation for this place, and photography gives me a reason to keep exploring it from different angles.
